We are back with our first episode of the new year. We are on to year five of this here podcast. We continue to usher in new, unique guests, and this episode is no different. Today, we are joined by DJ Bornschein. Who is DJ you ask? DJ is the founder of one of the largest cat conventions in the world, the Catsbury Park Cat Convention. This year, Catsbury Park will be bringing together an even larger all-star lineup from Cat World: Celebrity Cats, adoptable felines, DJs, games, activities, art, vendors, presentations, seminars, comedians, tattoos,and tasty vegetarian food. It was really neat to hear about all of the positive stories, the attendance of over 5000 people, and overall good that has come from this festival. Next, we are joined by Marc Tappan, of a band called The Dirty Shine, and Paula Alderelli, a representative for Earthshare NJ. Earthshare NJ is an organization that helps raise money for environmental organizations across NJ. On March 23rd, together with Earth Shares NJ, the Dirty Shine and several other bands will be performing at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park to help raise money for this great cause. Check it out. His was by far one of my favorite interviews to date. Singer, songwriter, and beyond talented musician, Frank Turner joins us this week on the podcast. Frank Turner has become quite a prolific writer, with 7 studio albums and more on the way, numerous ep's, and now his second book. We discussed a great variety of topics from songwriting, opening the 2012 Olympic Games, Frank's work with Dignity in Dying, touring, to dealing with social media scrutiny in this digital age. We are back with a great batch of new guests. Grammy-nominated producer/mixer and multi-instrumentalist Sean Beavan and his wife/vocalist Juliette Beavan, make up the musical duo of 8MM. Sean has worked with the likes of Nine Inch Nails, No Doubt, Thrice, and Slayer. Together, Sean and Juliette have put together a new album consisting of a great combination of dark pop and atmospheric rock.
