Jennifer Aniston to the rescue
zachmetzgers17 December 2021
Alex Levy is unraveling in this episode, and dang, finally something in this series feels compelling to watch. I loved season 1 but I've felt less happy about season 2, because the characters are all so unlikeable and the show feels preachy sometimes (unlike season 1). But Jennifer Aniston comes in for the win. I could feel her back pain. I could feel her angst and anger, and it was such a fascinating performance. Alex Levy can be dramatic and selfish at times, yes, but Aniston has a way of playing her that makes you root for and feel for her. Very entertaining episode.

I hope we're back on track.
danielremian18 October 2021
This felt like the best episode of the season so far because it resembled the first season the most. I hope the second part of the season gets better, like this episode did. The scene with Alex and Maggie was top notch, great work by Aniston there.

Patching the Pieces Back Together
greg-beaulieu16 October 2021
Over the last couple of episodes, there were so many things going on it was very hard to keep track. Who is this person? What is their role? Why are they acting that way? It was as if we had missed an episode or two where that would have been included. This episode helped patch together some of those plot pieces, either with flashbacks (I hate flashbacks) or in-the-moment explainers. It is as if the writers and producers suddenly discovered a bunch of holes left by earlier episodes and knew they needed to fill them.

Billy Crudup continues to steal every scene that he's in. Cory is such a great character, a slick lizard but here we learn he is capable of having feelings and sometimes wants to do the right thing. The connection between him and Bradley continues to get fleshed out and although I find the two of them a very strange pair of allies I suppose it is necessary for the plot to move forward. Alex... still a mystery. Totally insecure, totally oblivious to a lot of things, and seemingly with no idea how her treatment of people affects them. I find the progression of the Mitch storyline intriguing, if somewhat hard to swallow. His monologue while being interviewed shows a degree of self-awareness he now has that Alex seems to never have cultivated. I enjoyed Yanko's pushback against how he was being treated by the brass. And we are on the verge of COVID exploding too. Lots still to come! Hopefully the next few episodes will continue to be coherent, unlike the ones that preceded this.

Ambulance noises increasing
paul-e-conder15 October 2021
Listening to the ambulance noises in the background of 'The Morning Show' on AppleTV+.

Increasing each episode.

Wonderful writing to show a normal with covid creeping up on the characters.

Yet, somehow it feels dated - as though its story is just stuck in early 2020 while the world has moved on and is talking about very different things. Given that this was just a little over a year and a half ago, this feels like it shouldn't be possible, but the world post-arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic simply looks and feels so much different than this shiny memory of the before-times world. This means that the ominous build-up to the virus' arrival - complete with multiple wink wink nods to signposts we'll all remember that tell us just how bad it's going to get - as well as the focus on the Democratic Presidential Primary debate, complete with Bernie Sanders jokes, well... it just all feels so staid. Hannah, it looks as though Cory is about to out Bradley and her relationship with Laura Peters. This is, in and of itself, horrible, as no one deserves to have their sexual identity used against them in this way, but I think we also have to wonder what this says about Cory's feelings about Bradley. Even though he's just a TV character, it's still probably extremely wrong to wish that Mitch Kessler would catch COVID and die in Italy and yet. I just cannot figure out what this character - and his bizarre Italian documentarian thing - has to do with this show still. But is there a The Morning Show viewer out there who is invested in some sort of redemption arc for Mitch? Who's really curious about how he'll react to his fling with Alex becoming public? This show would be so much better - and there'd be room for other, more compelling storylines to breathe if we could all just admit that we don't need Mitch anymore.

i THINK how we approach each episode as part of a puzzle was new to us.
etherylaer15 October 2021
If what they wrote was really happening around them, then contentment for viewers was a great gain. I was looking forward and excited to see my fave actress perform till the 10th episode, so I watch this fictional show. Which I usually don't do I don't repeat action movies like Marvel of DC films, but my fave actress makes me smile in Murder Mystery so I saw the movie more than once. Maybe more funny scenes to come in her future projects like Murder Mystery 2 and excited to see the next episode of The Morning Show.

Laura Peterson = waaaaay too dramatic
BruceWayne328 November 2021
All I gotta say is that Laura was waaaaay over the top with her emotions To the point that it was annoying.

The dramatic scenes need to be toned down a bit in the series.

First quality episode of S2
ario3221 October 2021
The only episode of S2 so far that has succeeded in recreating the tension and emotional depth from S1. Hopefully we'll look back at this episode as a turning point for S2 but can't be too confident about that just yet.

Ghosts
bobcobb30124 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Pretty good for this overrated show. The episodes are still too long, but at least most of the storylines in this one were interesting. The show just doesn't have the same pull it had in season one.

COVID, Anyone?
jeffreycookit15 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Excellent episode. Now does Alex have COVID, or is it just stress from the impending tell-all book?

Next episode will be one for the books! Phenomenal writing...I believe the first COVID confirmed case showed up in Seattle In January 2020 - and here it's just begun.

They sent a Team to Wuhan 3 episodes ago (Ep 2) in "It's Like the Flu".. and we all knew it was just a matter of time.

I have my issues
thekingmanx16 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Alex and Cory and that whole book stuff was really good, and Cory's B plot is really good. But everything outside of that is super meh to bad. Stella getting randomly attacked and yako defending her was just so random. Ik this happens in real life, but it just seems so out of place pointless in the episode. Also the yako B plot about the spirit animal thing is still stupid. Like who actually cares. And I have always felt weird about making Bradley Jackson lesbian. It just feels like they are trying to do a thousand social/political issues and it just feels for show. Also Mitch plot is super boring and weirdly sympathetic.

THE WOKE PROPAGANDA NEVER ENDS....
xnkhpyf29 October 2021
This used to be my favorite show and now it's just beyond ignorant.

Everyone is a so-called "victim."

Everyone tries to character assassinate each other over fake claims of "racism."

Beyond cringe.....

Absolute mess
Batree24 October 2021
This show getting worse with each episode. It sure is representing just how stupid the media looks (this one and the real media). Too much wokeness. It has truly gotten laughable how Hollywood tries to convey one message but certainly doesn't live it out. Poor pitiful actors.
