I loved this episode. Keef's frustration at the unraveling of his life gets distilled down to one simple thing - getting across town so that he can possibly salvage some pieces of his career. The absurdity of the Cubby fetishization parallels the point Keef tries to make - people are suffering in various ways all around, but they aren't little internet moments, so no-one is interested. By the end of the episode, his rage and frustration zero in, not on the society that seems determined to screw him at every turn, but on Cubby ... and even in that, Keef fails. It's without question his rock bottom, and while the episode has plenty of humor, it also moves things toward Keef shedding the last piece of resistance to being woke.

Prayers for Kubby review

Yeah this is the worst episode of the show. I guess this was okay until the twist with Keef making stuff up about the Koala and the people on the bus bought it? And then he starts going nuts and his roommates don't even want to help him. It's a shame because they should have stood up for him. And it was clear the writers shot themselves in the foot when Keef went up and grafittied the poster with a black "", which pretty much after that the episode went to ultimate levels of garbage after they realized there was no way out, so it was like "Have Keef go mentally ill FTW", when it's clear that there's far better ways to get out of it than that. It's just lazy writing.

And I sort of felt bad for Keef when I couldn't before because I just wanna say "you" to those koala shills who took this Kubby nonsense way too far. It was alright social commentary but was taken way too far when the Koala mascot dude just straight out punched Keef to the ground. I'm sure if this show was fully animated, they'd take an American Dad/Family Guy route and go for the pointless gore as well.
