Good

The song in the end translates to ( hush hush, here comes the kings!) and thats a good choice of songs by the director!

Oscar's transformation between his characters tells what a great actor he is!

About the episode, it was definitely well written and kinda better than the first one. We finally met Mark and understand his background story. Next episode gonna be in Egypt so that sounds good considering the show whole story.

A breath of fresh air
danieldraper_6 April 2022
The entire team over at Moon Knight deserve a round of applause.

With fantastic scripts, gorgeous visuals and a masterful display of acting by Oscar Issac, this MCU show has the potential to become one of the best.

Tension is off the charts!
natonedge6 April 2022
The tension in this episode is astounding!

Much like the pilot episode, it makes you feel as lost and confused as Steven; this episode successfully utilised the confusion to build tension!

Really good and tense episode, not once did I think to check the progress bar. Easy 9/10!

Getting Better and Better
gbarrett-399416 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Moon Knight is a Marvel character that is less well known than some of the X-men or Avenger members, but has been a consistent hero through the 80's and 90's. His level of notoriety is similar to the Defenders which always the writers to be more creative. This episode reveals more of the Moon Knight's abilities and leaves you longing for more. The CGI is ok and the fight scenes are muted, but it's good for Disney +.

Good humor
addewikstrom-250996 April 2022
"I eat one steak and I go bonkers" is probably the best line in this series yet. Also this episode really shows how difficult it is for an American to play a Brit.

Perfect if you ask me

Warning: Spoilers
Oscar Isaac is proving to be the perfect man for the role.

I really like the way they're slowly developing Steven, Marc and Khonsu. Almost the full episode was still from the clueless Stevens perspective but towards the end it shifted to Marc and Khonsu which was nice and I hope to see more in the following episode.

AND we finally saw the suit(s) in action. I prefer Marcs one but both of them look good. The fight scene was great really balancing Steven not knowing what he's doing and Marc showing how it's done. The episode balanced humour and serious and tense moments really well and made me laugh out loud a couple of times.

Can't wait for next week.

2nd chance with the 2nd episode
Near-L6 April 2022
Apart from Isaac's acting i hated the show in the first episode, i thought the cgii was bad and the time jumps silly but then i decided to give the second episode a chance and wow this one was amazing on its own. Everything worked for me and even tho i don't take Marvel seriously for a while now this was actually very good. The camera work was mind blowing and that end credits carried the quality weight of this episode. Idk if this show will be good or not but this episode will stay good regardless of what happens next. Quality and stylish work!

too much slapstick, sledgehammer storytelling, less atmospheric, but the story keeps going
Shadowboy_25cm21 April 2022
The first episode was gripping, humorous, tense, atmospheric.

This second episode shifts more to the funny, ridicolous, not to say to the slapstick side and doesn't keep up the interesting and gripping atmosphere from the former episode.

We get more background story, thats ok. As the storytelling is fast-paced, it's in the construct of this show to keep the story going and leave some subtleness beside.

Still entertaining, because of some action and fight scenes, but not that gripping and atmospheric than the first episode. A pity.

I hope that the upcoming episoides will get back on track.

"Yeah, the ceremonial armor from Khonshu's temple, not psycho Colonel Sanders."

Warning: Spoilers
Man, Oscar Isaac's performance is killing it! Great character drama between Steven & Marc. I haven't said this yet since my review on the Pilot hasn't come in. Since Moon Knight is less known in the superhero genre, I decided to not watch any more trailers than the first one because I wanted to know what this mysterious hero was like. I love to experience new things.

The mythology here is way more interesting than Eternals (( Well, either they could have done a better job without being slow and introducing it in another way. )) I have a fondness for Ancient Egypt-type stuff. It's so mysterious, you know. The Great Pyramids of Giza, how it was constructed, what's inside of it, etc. Getting off-track here, but dang. Arthur Harrow gets more interesting as the minutes pass. He feels so fleshed out- I can't even describe it.

Since we see more of the costume, it looks SICK and looks great at night-time. The humor isn't as bad as in the previous shows. It's not lame nor forced. I thought Steven taunting the Jackel was funny. You have to admit the potential drip of the suit is outstanding. I don't know how to feel about the new character - Layla, but we'll see as the episodes go on. Good action here.

10/10.

Oscar Issac's acting is great, story is not.
kj-367576 April 2022
Feels like over half the episode was just rehash of episode 1. Oscar is giving a top level performance but the writing for the show so far is incredibly weak in my opinion.

On a righteous path
clintonanwah6 April 2022
Moonknight is actually in such a fantastic path to be the best MCU show to date. Nice to see Marc's backstory and his transformation as avatar for Khonshu. Brilliant 2nd episode, can't wait for next week.

Warning: Spoilers
What more do we need to see for Moon Knight to appear more than just a minute? I think we got the part that Steven is a dork and a cry baby but this consistent "no, I'm not giving you control" when people are about to get hurt is really bad and repetitive. And the introduction of Mr. Knight was only for cimedic purposes? Is Marvel ever gonna be serious for once? And here I thought that with the Daredevil and The Punisher on Disney plus, maybe Moon Knight will be on this level.

Just horrible writing
mafiawarsaddict7 April 2022
This episode and so far the show is very disappointing. The char is not likable and the writing is just awful. Who in their right mind would bring the one item that villain is looking for into the villains lair. Thinking oh yeah I can protect it for being taken. NO Just stupid. I already grow tired of Steven avatar and would like to see more MK and less of everyone else. The Knonshu is not even likable. I was hoping that the jackals would kill all the heroes (Steve/Marc, Layla, anyone else).

The only good thing is that it ended and now we are in Egypt. Well 2 in and lets hope the last 4 gives us something to look forward too.

DAYMAN! FIGHTER OF THE NIGHTMAN!
Victor_daSilva_6 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode won me when Steven (with a V) became the Mr. Knight, only cause before I watch this episode I watched the S3,E9 from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and I was inevitably imagining Charlie Day as Mr. Knight. Oscar, all that was missing was singing the iconic song of the friendship master, because karate your character already knows.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm getting used to Oscar Isaac's appalling London accent and that he has no comic skills whatsoever. I enjoyed both episodes, but, it's definitely improved from the first. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Tip. Scan the Q code on the storage locker.

This is literally for Oscar and co
benjinightingale7 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Oscar is top notch and I'm a big fan more so after this I really impressed by how good he is . The acting is fantastic in this series so far by all if I'm honest . Oscars accent also is bloody brilliant , as a native I can say most if not all by few can do a British accent well and he's def one of the few that can . Effects are good like marvel always does but I can't decide if I really really love it or I don't and I think it's down to the writing ,I'm not sure what happened here as some parts really didn't feel right or make sense like his wife just turning up for example . Anyway it's Early days and I'm sure I will end up obsessed but had to type this for our new Honorary Brit mr issaacs. I tip my hat to thee , plus he's blood hot too.

Nowhere near the first
SureCommaNot6 April 2022
Remember the temple scenes from Season Six of LOST? Episode II of Moon Knight feels like that.

Whereas I couldn't wait to watch the pilot episode a second time, episode II is just not nearly as engaging, intricate, funny or exciting. I kept wondering while watching, was this even the same director and editor as the first episode?

May (Layla) is especially uninteresting as a character. How are we supposed to believe that she and a complex character like Marc ever teamed up? I don't know if the actress, the writers or the director is responsible for the flatness.

People said the CGI of the first episode took them out of it. For me, it didn't, then. But it definitely does here. Distractingly bad: the cape, the fight scenes, the claw coming up from the ground. Felt like a '90s show.

Frustrating but in all the right ways
TheStorytellingCritic6 April 2022
This 2nd ep is giving promise that the show will be consistent in quality. The pilot was strong and ep 2 continues from strength to strength.

We see the majority of the ep from Steven's eyes and because of that we feel the frustration when no one believes him which is great and it really pushes that mystery theme of keeping the character and the audience in the dark.

The cinematography picks up with its lighting and use of long tracking shots and I don't think I'll ever get tired of the shots that involve reflections. They add so much to the show and even seeing them talk via reflections with cracks splitting his face up. This ep gives us more character motivations and a bit more depth and the action may be not as many were hoping but it definitely shows what's in store for future eps as it gives us more of a taste but leaves us itching for more giving more of that frustration in a good way.

I'm glad they're still steering clear of connecting to the wider MCU and so far they haven't ruined any tense moment with a cheap joke - a MCU trademark it seems.

The only gripes is that some of the jokes do fall a little flat but not enough to take away from the moment and that British accent, I can get used to the accent as the episode goes on but it's the actual dialogue that doesn't fit with the accent, you can tell a non British person wrote it. The CGI is soft at times which makes me think they're saving the budget for the bigger fights towards the end of the season.

Overall the episode is consistent but a little flatter but seems to be shaping to be one of the better MCU shows.

P.s. I do think they need to make a MCU TV intro for the TV shows.

P. P. S. The suit is definitely a fantastic outfit, if not one of my favourite superhero outfits in live action.

Episode 1.2
Prismark106 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Everybody thinks Steven is mad. Including Steven.

He has lost his job at the museum, finds a box in a storage unit that has a passport of Marc Spector. He also bumps into a woman called Layla who claims to be his wife.

The only person who provides answers is Arthur Harrow even if his solution is morally dubious. Harrow's vision is more of a Minority Report.

Harrow wants the scarab and is close to getting it.

The episode offers some exposition, how certain people have been an avatar of the Egyptian god Khonshu.

There was another good action sequence but it looked too similar from the first episode.

There was a better glimpse of the Moon Knight and also now I hope there will be less of an uncertain Steven. He should realise just who he can become.

Some good acting from Oscar Isaac who has to do two accents in this series.

Get on with it already
ardentpics16 April 2022
I like a good split personality/amnesiac yarn as much as the next guy, but this show spins its wheels to an annoying degree.

Especially when confronted by overwhelming odds and imminent death, Steven's prolonged refusals to allow Marc to step in and take care of the threats always end up feeling forced and lack credibility.

Fantastic Episode
MamadNobari978 April 2022
Summon the Suit is a strong second episode to the great opener that was The Goldfish Problem, and it delves deeper into the chaotic mind of Steven Grant.

This episode has basically everything, character study, great performances, good storytelling, and action.

I absolutely loved the conversation between Steven and Arthur about their beliefs and morals, something that I think was needed more in Infinity War. The villain's motivation is like the plot of The Winter Soldier and what Hydra wanted to do, but the conversation around it is much better.

And I really like this protagonist/villain dynamic we have here, and the villain has a fair share of screen time too. The "villain" of the story, Arthur, is of course really familiar with Marc's boss, and it gives another layer of depth to their relationship.

Summon the Suit also has another great reveal that I didn't expect to see this early and I'm really thankful that they don't waste time showing us what our protagonist can really do.

We have a really nice addition to the cast of characters that we have already seen in the promos, and she's a really good character and has a great dynamic with Steven.

I have to mention, that this is how to do a protagonist! This is how you write a great, flawed, and actually interesting character as a protagonist, something that Disney Star Wars has no idea how to, as we have seen with Rey and recently Boba Fett.

Our protagonist isn't exactly a righteous and flawless man who doesn't do the bidding of a questionable authority like Captain America, he's a man who has killed people - who might have deserved it - and will do it again because if he doesn't, he'll lose what he loves.

All in all, this show has been really great so far and fun to watch, and this episode does a great job of establishing our trouble-minded protagonist and the antagonist further and has great dialogue and good action.

And I like that Kevin Feige just gave the helms to this actual Egyptian director to depict his country's culture like what it is and not some American guy whose only knowledge of the Middle East is just putting a yellow filter on the screen.

Also, I gotta mention that I don't really like Arabic as a language, even though mine (Farsi) is really close to it but I kinda cannot stand it, but I gotta admit that end-credit Arabic rap was lowkey fire! The Armenian Genocide Really Happened and Taiwan Is a Country.

I can't understand the hate towards this show
jfriedewald6 April 2022
Firstly, only one episode had aired and the show already got downvoted to hell. I've got to admit that I was quite skeptical of another MCU series, after how Loki and Wanda Vision turned out. The early reviews on here nearly drove me away from giving Moonknight a shot and that's a shame.

Some people complained that it isn't dark and gritty enough for them and they expected more of a Punisher / Daredevil kind of show. I'm glad it didn't go down that route and is incorporating humorous elements as well. Without giving to much away, in the second episode things are definitely heating up and we learn a lot about Steven's inner conflict and the overall story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for more episodes. I love the ancient egypt theme and in my opinion it brings something totally new to the MCU table. I'm no Marvel fanboy at all and have been very disappointed with the direction the MCU has taken lately but Moonknight is worth your time.
