Mary is an alchemist in the truest sense. I'll tell you what I mean by that. She takes the basest of materials and turns them into something of value. She makes things and jokes that induce laughter, which is golden. Plus she has the ability to laugh at herself; if you can't do that you are already dead. The low scores must have been given prematurely, i.e. before the interactive scratch-n-sniff card (was overjoyed to get mine in the mail a week before the episode aired) Greener Pastures episode. An instant classic! Mary reminds me of a funnier, slightly younger-looking Ellen DeGeneres, and that is no cheap shot, but rather a generous compliment. Her moosings, yes moosings, are priceless. I sincerely enjoy the rest of her easy going cronies as well. Overall the show is a crap ton of fun. Cheers to the good, genuine folks of Somerville. I hope Tru TV renews this for a few more seasons.
