By far the stupidest movie I've ever seen
MoviesRT21 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This starts out really bad and then just gets more and more ridiculous.

First of all, it must be a student film. I have no idea how it got produced unless it was done by the son of some Hollywood insider.

Basically the premise is that "nature" killed some guy 22 years ago and turned him into a zombie for nature who kills "the white man" to keep him from destroying nature just by his very existence.

There is a little bit of nudity, but not women you would ever want to see naked, believe me. The cast must be the director's classmates.

I think they made up the music too. Just awful.

So take a bad story, bad acting, bad directing, bad music, lots of fake blood and apparently a relative in Hollywood, and you have it.

Don't waste even 10 minutes watching this disaster. Neither scary, nor even entertaining in any way. Some stupid movies you can laugh at, but his one is just pathetic.

I think I know how it got produced. There's a scene with these hillbillies who like Bush and the American flag, and they do lots of drugs and fry up lots of eggs and Spam to show how stupid they are. The anti-Bush as well as the anti-white sentiment must have been all it took to invest in this garbage.

Please don't invest any of your precious time on this waste material.

One of the worst movies I tried watching lately.
paikia24 April 2015
I hardly ever review a movie without watching it until the end, but this is one of the rare exceptions. 30 minutes in, this movie just bored the hell out of me, as there was nothing in it I liked, not even a little. Then again, the horror / comedy combination rarely works for me.

All it was for me, was cheap drama with a few bloody scenes, which I figured were meant to be both horrific *and* funny, although the only reason to laugh, in my opinion, was how pathetic they turned out to be.

I'm sorry, I'm really not in the habit of bashing movies, even ones I don't like, but this one really knocked me over the edge.

I suggest avoiding it, unless you really like shallow horror-comedy movies.

NATURE RAPED HIS SOUL...IN SPLATTERVISION
nogodnomasters18 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The film opens in 1985 with some filming and killing and then jumps 22 years later. Four young adults go camping on Blanchard Hill where they reveal the nature of the curse. We see people at random come into this Washington State park and get sliced up, one couple had a strong Southern country accent that was very fake.

The film makers knew nothing about sound as I had to keep adjusting the sound on my TV. It was uneven. The dialogue was stupid and the acting was bad. This short film had to rely on black and white flashback filler. They clearly had a campy film in mind when they made this one. While Zach Klinefelter created colorful characters he failed to cast people who could play the role, plus he didn't know what to do with them other than kill them off with a mass of pig guts.

Appears to have been made for stoners.

Parental guide: F-bomb. Nudity (Mandi Wolf, Kelly White)

Not worth the time
bmoviep16 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is so forgettable that I'm having trouble coming up with anything to say about it. The plot revolved around an area in the woods called "Blanchard Hill", that was cursed by the restless souls of a native tribe. The souls would possess people who entered the woods and have them kill any white people they encountered as revenge for how they treated the natives in the past. The story has potential, but the execution is extremely poor. Most of the scenes have little to no connection to the plot and are nothing more than filler intended to extended the length of the film to full length status. It's obvious that the film crew had little to no budget while making this movie so they were unable to really include any nature related deaths. This resulted in the film looking more like a typical demonic possession story told poorly. The themes and moral lessons present in "The Curse of Blanchard Hill" are heavy handed and come off as trying to hard. There's really no point in watching this movie, unless you plan on sleeping for an hour and fourteen minutes.
