The first order of business when Thalía and Becky G meet up at New York’s Power Station is what music the two pop stars are going to play in the background of their photo shoot. Quickly, the room decides on Bad Bunny, and within minutes, “Tití Me Preguntó” is pounding through the sound system, getting both artists dancing. Thalía’s voice suddenly pipes in for one memorable line of the song: “Mi primer amor se llamaba Thalía!” (“My first love’s name was Thalía!”) She and Becky burst into laughter.

The second night of the Republican National Convention performed better than the first, as far as total viewership is concerned.
After opening night drew just under 16 million total viewers across the broadcast and cable news networks which covered it, night 2 delivered 18 million viewers, which represents a 13% jump. That does still represents a 2 million viewers loss on the second night of the previous convention in 2016.
To nobody surprise, Fox News scored by the far the largest audience of the night, with just under 8 million total viewers tuning in (as opposed to 7.1 million the night before). This time around it was NBC that came second overall with 2.5 million, beating CNN and ABC into a third place tie with 2.1 million viewers each (a slight increase on night 1 for both). MSNBC’s coverage delivered 1.8 million viewers, as CBS came last once again with 1.5 million.

America’s Got Talent topped Tuesday in primetime, delivering a 0.7 in the adults 18-49 demographic and 5.58 million viewers to hold steady with last week’s numbers. The reality talent competition led into Night 2 of the Republican National Convention, which so far trails Night 1 in the early data with NBC and ABC leading in the demo and CBS at No. 3. These numbers will likely be adjusted when finals are delivered.

The quarantined second season of Love Island premiered on CBS on Monday and took a two-tenths hit from last year’s freshman debut. Still, the reality dating competition in which hot and bothered singles are essentially stuck on an island to find “love” scored a 0.4 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 1.94 million viewers, plenty enough to finish No. 1 among primetime’s new offerings.
The first night of the Republican National Convention was on par with last week’s Democratic National Convention among the broadcast news networks. NBC and ABC tied in the demo followed by CBS in early numbers that are expected to adjust when finals are delivered.
Based on preliminary numbers, Univision beat Rnc coverage on all networks during its 10 p.m. Et time slot with Como Tú No Hay Dos. With La Rosa de Guadalupe and Médicos (0.4, 1.32M), Univision shared the No.

The first night of the Republican National Convention was down a touch in total viewership on the first night of the Democratic National Convention, at least according to early numbers.
Across the three broadcast networks, the Rnc night 1 drew around 4.9 million total viewers, a 14% drop from last Monday’s DNC first night which drew 5.7 million.
Looking at the networks individually, ABC scored the largest total viewership (as it did for the DNC), drawing 1.8 million viewers. NBC was right behind with 1.7 million, followed by CBS with 1.4 million.
As was the case with the DNC last week, it appears that the Rnc is on course for much smaller numbers than the previous edition from four years ago. For comparison, the first night of the 2016 Rnc delivered 10.1 million viewers in the preliminary broadcast ratings, more than twice the tally from this time around.

From Democrats and Republicans rallying against Trump’s handling of the pandemic to the emotional moment of silence for George Floyd to Michelle Obama’s memorable “It is what it is” speech, it was all about the first night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention on Monday night. However, it was all about which network came out on top. For night one, NBC and ABC led the night with its telecast.
Both NBC and ABC shared the top spot delivering a 0.3 in the adults 18-49 demographic with CBS just a tenth behind with a 0.2. ABC raced ahead in viewership, netting 2.12 million viewers while NBC garnered 1.91 million viewers. CBS earned 1.74 million viewers. Overall, it seems that all three networks were pretty even with the 2020 DNC. However, the numbers are expected to be adjusted in the finals.
Univision delivered a 0.4 rating with its demo average, sharing the top spot of the night with NBC.

“Marvel’s Agents of Shield” gave its final salute on Wednesday night, airing its last ever episodes to strong numbers for ABC.
The two-hour finale averaged a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 and around 1.5 million total viewers. That rating represents a seventh and final season high for the fan favorite show. “Agents of Shield” hadn’t scored a 0.4 rating at any point this season until its finale. Earlier in the night, “United We Fall” came in at a 0.5 rating and 3.2 million total viewers, almost exactly the same numbers as the Will Sasso and Christina Vidal comedy scored last week.
NBC and CBS tied for first place overall on Wednesday, as “Big Brother” led the way with a 1.1 rating and 4.2 million total viewers. “America’s Got Talent” continued its weekly ratings drop, but nevertheless emerged way out ahead of slim competition on Tuesday night.
The NBC talent show, which last night saw Kelly Clarkson fill in for Simon Cowell who sustained a serious back injury over the weekend, scored a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 and drew 6.7 million total viewers. Dwayne Johnson made headlines earlier this week for acquiring the XFL, and the good news kept on coming for the former WWE star, as his NBC show “Titan Games” was the highest-rated programming on Monday night.
The athletic competition series scored a 0.7 rating among adults 19-49 and around 3.7 million total viewers. That’s pretty much exactly even on last week’s episode. NBC followed it up with a replay of “American Ninja Warrior” (USA vs. the World), which delivered a 0.5 rating and 2.7 million pairs of eyeballs.
With a potential “Bachelorette” casting shakeup leaving Bachelor Nation fans shook, the ABC franchise’s summer highlight show returned to its lowest numbers yet on Monday night.
Episode 7 of “The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever!” delivered a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49 (even with the last episode from two weeks back) and 1.7 million viewers, only a slight drop-off from the previous edition, but still the...

ABC’s return to originals of its game-show block and Univision’s lineup split ratings honors in primetime Thursday, with both scoring a 0.5 in the adults 18-49 demographic.
Holey Moley, Don’t and To Tell the Truth returned from a week off for ABC, with the former two even and the latter bumping up a tenth. Univision countered with Te Doy La Vida, Médicos and Como Tú No Hay Dos.
Fox broadcast the Boston Red Sox-New York Mets game in primetime, with other sports fans’ eyes likely on the NBA return and the Lakers-Clippers game on TNT.
The only other original Thursday was courtesy of the CW, with Killer Camp even with last week.
CBS and NBC both aired all-repeats, with CBS the night’s most-watched network behind Thursday’s most-watched and top-rated show Young Sheldon at 8 Pm.

“Holey Moley” continued to card a solid round of golf, or ratings, leading ABC to a Thursday night win alongside Univision.
The mini golf competition series hit the fairway with a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49 and just under 3 million viewers, on par with last episode ratings-wise, but down around 15% in terms of total audience. “Tough As Nails” proved on Wednesday night that its title is well earned, at least in ratings terms.
After dipping to a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 for the previous couple episodes, the CBS competition show bounced back up to a 0.5 rating and 3.5 million viewers this time around. Replays of “The Price is Right: Big Brother” and “Seal Team” followed it up with a 0.4 and a 0.3 respectively. The former drew just under 3 million viewers, the latter 2.2 million.
ABC’s comedy “United We Fall” matched “Tough As Nails” to top the night, scoring the exact same numbers in both metrics, which means it was roughly even on last week. However, in less heroic news, “Marvel’s Agents of Shield” ticked down to a 0.2 rating in the 10 p.m. time slot for only the second time in its final season so far. NBC’s Blindspot wrapped up its storyline for its fifth and final season Thursday, with the series finale matching a season-best 0.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 1.70 million viewers.

“Blindspot” aired the final episode of its impressive five-season run last night to unspectacular numbers. Fox’s “Celebrity Watch Party” also failed it impress with its finale.
The last ever edition of “Blindspot” scored a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49, which does represent a slight tick up from the penultimate episode. However, only 1.7 million viewers tuned in to see how Sullivan Stapleton and company’s story would end, which is inn fact slightly down in last week, and represents a viewership low for its fifth and final season. Preceding the finale was a replay of “Ellen’s Game of Games,” which scored a 0.4 rating and 2.7 million viewers. A “Law & Order: Svu” replay closed off the night for NBC with a 0.2 rating and 1.8 million viewers.
Meanwhile on Fox, the season 1 curtain call for “Celebrity Watch Party” came in at a 0.3 rating and 1.4 million total viewers, which is almost exactly even on the previous episode on both metrics.
