Decent Adult Fare
SilentOne925 January 2008
Off the Air directed by adult film star Randy Spears revolves around the operation of a radio broadcast during the early days of the genre. Spears plays the announcer of the show which is run by shady Chris Cannon. The voice actors include Box Cover girl Kirsten Price, Penny Flame, Justice Young, Barrett Blade and Mike Horner. Carolyn Reese is also in the cast as the office assistant who cannons abuses. Cassie Young is in the cast as a hopeful actress who is put on the "Casting Couch" by Cannon. The conflict in the film arises when characters in the radio dramas are being murdered in real life. They are being killed exactly the way the were killed on the radio. Twist ending shows who the killer is. Not the greatest acting although most of the cast are capable actors. Sex Scenes are done will and are typical of what Wicked Pictures products. This film will appeal to those who enjoys couples types features. recommended

Excellent nostalgia/porn

Randy Spears as writer-director delivered a quality feature to Wicked Pictures with this rather sincere tribute to the golden days of radio.

Set in 1939, and replete with snazzy vintage cars, hair styles and wardrobe, it depicts rather convincingly the old radio plays, suspense mysteries acted out at the microphone by the ensemble porn star cast. Story involves life imitating art, as the killings in the radio script are later coming true involving the actors whose characters get offed suffering the same fate in real life.

With many suspects it's not too hard to figure out who dunnit (least likely one is usually the culprit), and the sex scenes are handled with verve, given some extra oomph by the vintage undergarments worn by the ladies. Contract star Kirsten Price has the lead, while Randy writes himself in with an unusually sympathetic role as the radio announcer who falls for a mousey go-fer girl working for mean station manager Chris Cannon.

Definitely a case of how attention to detail and pride of workmanship can punch of an Adult movie.
