If you enjoy the mumblecore vibes of Slacker, this is the modern day Linklater set in the backdrop of Burbank, CA. I don't think this film is for everyone (what film is?) but it perfectly captures what it was like to grow up near the Valley and experience what many 20-something-year-olds ask themselves: What the hell am I going to do next with my life??
Funny performances by the cast, and the camera work makes you feel like you're one of these young adults walking through the land of Nothing Happens.
This movie certainly feels like the first movie of the next great coming-of-age director, akin to Frances Ha or again, Slacker! All mumbleclore and indie fans will enjoy!
