Fascinating at first but......

This series paints a new perspective on how the Second World War was won/lost by examining how companies switched to producing armaments in volumeand their fundamental successes/failures in doing so. Series 1 is good in concentrating on specific companies and commdities but in my opinion series 2 loses its way in expanding its scope so I recommend 1 but frankly don't bother with 2. In common with some other documentaries the archive footage may not always match the story being told.

No garbage at all

Facinating and entertaining show from beginning to the end. Means for season 1 and 2 season as well. The setup of season 2 is a bit different, but refreshing and no drawback on the content. Finally another view of WW2 with the intellect and complexity behind. I hope firmly for a third season.

Great information & entertainment

I don't know how someone could consider this show "garbage" as it is so well done offering equal parts education & entertainment. I discovered this show YouTube and being a history-documentary "junkie" I couldn't stop watching it. The idea of a show about factories and output may sound dull but if you know anything about WWl and WWll you will learn a ton of stuff here not usually covered in films about those wars. I found the narration crisp and compelling and the "experts" weighing in with their takes very interesting. I can't recommend this series highly enough to anyone interested in the civilian side of how wars get decided.

I'm a bit of a WW2 Buff, and I learned all kinds of new things from this series. I mostly thought of the strategies and command decisions This series really explained what and how important Factories ND THIER PRODUCTION WAS TO THE WAR EFFORT BY ALL SIDES Very enlightening!

Interesting series, series 3 is excellent

Develops over the three series from being a ww2 standard clips show to some quite radical revisionist ideas. Brings things right up to date. Interesting selection of talking heads, although in series 3 I did wonder how far the Baku episode was scripted or maybe just cleverly edited as the experts almost finished each other's sentences.

The series is well researched and has clips of people who were actually there, both historic and current, who set things in a real context.

I watch a lot of history series and can honestly say I have learnt more from this than anything else made in the last ten years.

Garbage

The usual pseudo-experts in another show of industrially produced 'history' garbage. The only good thing is that I know I need to change the channel when these talking heads appear on screen.
