Social studies movie!
imranahmedsg26 February 2022
Only watch if you wish to understand the impact of war on life in Iraq. The movie highlights the nature of militia warlordism and the pervasive lawlessness brought about by war. Moreover, the inordinate impact this has on vulnerable segments of society, e g. Women and the poor.

Nothing great about the movie other than a reflection of war torn Iraq.

Waste of time

Warning: Spoilers
Complete waste of time, very weak script, even for me as native Arabic speaker, you need to imagine a whole new dialogue in your mind to figure out what is going on Don't recommend.

Ridiculous Movie OmG

Warning: Spoilers
I see a few people rate this movie Insanely a 9? Another a 6??

This movie was so terrible that like I am so upset i wasted all that time trying to give a middle eastern flick a chance for my first time smh.

I had Absolutely NO Idea what is going on? It doesn't even make sense one bit.. I think it was like okay some old guy is shot at the beginning laying on the street and then half the movie later they explain why lol. Literally they kept panning to the old guy laying there in pain but no explanations and then theirs no explanations why the sniper is shooting people?

I assume its cause hes apart of a terrorist group that has called these buildings their turf but still it made 0 sense why the shooting?

Then theirs like no backstory whatsoever on any characters and then all this film really comes down too is just a movie about a random crazy guy sniping people against his bosses orders and then turns on the boss.

Though they do explain a tiny bit why he turned on the boss but its still very stupid to begin with as it opens up more questions then it answers.

I saw this On Netflix and thought hey lets give the middle eastern shows/movies a try and well I was sorely disappointed. If you watch North American, European or East Asian Flicks then I will warn you now this flick is not even close to their level in Acting, quality, Script writing,

The National
cinemadeparment31 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The feature film may be Mohanad Hayal's first, but it is a masterclass of the "less is more" approach. The dialogue is sparse but sharp. Expository details aren't magnified, but rather revealed in allusive and organic conversations. The cast - which includes Asad Abdul Majeed, Yumna Marwan, Iman Abdulhassan and Ali Thamer - deliver powerful, memorable performances, divulging more with the emotions they restrain rather than exhibit.

Not an ordinary movie.

The entire movie has a suspense feel to it. The story and theme of the movie is dark and suspenseful. You just get involved in the movie thinking what will happen next. It's a simple plot with no complicated screenplay, the movie is well made. Dialogues are very less. It's all about the music and takings that elevate the movie.
