Six Great Minutes
knut19427 October 2007
I got a chance to catch this short film at the Milano Film Festival. It was a great little surprise with a big message. As far as I could tell, (I don't speak German) the acting was fantastic and what destroys many short films is terrible actors. The screenplay was tight and packed a heavy punch. Outsourcing is a major problem that we have with globalization and this problem is spreading throughout the states and Europe. And Markus Dietrich conveys his point through clever comedy. The director also shows how a short film can be made with limited locations and budget. A fantastic film that made hundreds of people just a bit smarter after leaving the theater.

cold realism

A very provocative short film about solution to organize the house finances. A radical one but far to be unrealistic. In many families, the mother being the Prometheus, it is easy for husband and elder kids to ignore her efforts. And, in presumed arbitrary family reunions, make the cold decision.

A real inspired portrait of near reality. In clothes of dark comedy but transforming it in more powerful warning about a sort of pragmatism , about gratitude and about cold emotions of children and ...men.

So, brilliant example of cold realism.
