The Lone Wolf, Michael Lanyard, is returning from assignment in Hong Kong. In route he has a shipboard romance with Jean Arnold (played by Barbara Billingsley - forever June Cleaver) who is a member of the Henri Felix Dance Troupe. Both the police and a couple of doofus private detectives think that Lanyard has smuggled in jewels. Actually, Burt Mustin and Robert Nichols as the private detectives are very funny in their ineptness. When Lanyard refuses to help them Burt asks him "Is that your final answer?" which of course made me chuckle because of the quiz show. Given how few suspects there are and one of them ends up dead, it isn't too hard to figure out who dunnit. The final chase scene is a silly hoot. Because the episode is less than 30 minutes, Hayward does quite a bit narration to move along the plot.
