For a car show, it was really very warm, sad and beautiful. i just love them...

There is little that can be said about this instalment. in almost every aspect, this episode had demonstrated and enormous and profound emotional message. It is indeed, however sad it may be, the end of an era. Honestly, just watch it.

What an end era for television. Truly 2 of the greatest shows ever made. From the three Best presenters. That episode got me emotional. I have so many fond memories. Thanks you Jeremy, James and Richard

This was an amazing episode! Bittersweet ending and very funny. Nothing will ever top this show.

This episode was devoted to three mid-sized saloons; all made by Ford. The Cortina; a car that was so popular just about everybody's father drove one in the '60s... including my own; even though I was born in Birmingham! The Sierra, in particular the TWOCer's favourite the Sierra RS Cosworth and finally the Mondeo, the only car all three presenters admitted liking. They talked about the history of the cars and the sheer joy of seeing their father's new executive models... and Brummy Richard's shame that his got an Allegro Estate. To commemorate these cars and to mark their passing it ended with a service in Lincoln cathedral. That wasn't the only ending marked in the episode; this is the last episode of the show to use the format that dates back to their Top Gear days seventeen years ago.

I initially wondered if they had made a mistake ending the series on a Ford saloon retrospective rather than the excellent Mongolian Special... no they didn't! This was just how the long running format of the show should have ended. The talk about the cars was informative and entertaining with little in the way of silliness. Even the silliness, as Richard trashed a couple of unloved cars, was brief and amusing. The announcement at the end about the end of the current format was genuinely touching; the montage of scenes from the last seventeen years was great; I'm glad they were allowed to include 'Top Gear' clips as well as the recent Grand Tour ones. I will miss the current format even though I love the 'special' style episodes that are due to continue. I do hope there is still room for these more documentary style episodes, minus the tent section, in the new format.

I honestly can't remember the last time I had a lump in my throat. Watching superheroes action movies moves you but at the end of the day you know it's all make belief, not with this trio! Real life superheroes who are as raw and as real as it gets. A superhero's job never ends, hopefully, neither shall yours! All the best to all of you, and thank you for all these wonderful, genuine and exciting years!

I hope the GT team read these reviews because they show how much these guys connect with their audience, thank you for the laughs, you makes peoples humdrum life's a lot happier & good luck with the new format I am sure it will be amazing and I can't wait.

I spent the summer of 2015 binging old TG epis. The chemistry between these 3 guys is rare, and and irreplaceable. No one's even come close to reproducing it, and they've tried.

This final GT was low key, and perfect. Bravo, Jeremy, Richard, and Captain Slow. Will miss you guys. Take a bow, cash the checks, go home. You've earned it.

And if I ever win the lottery, I'm buying a Porsche 911 Turbo S, a GTC4 Lusso, and a Reliant Robin, just so I can flip it over in my driveway, or turn it into a Space Shuttle, or a motorboat. Or something....

Still can't fathom (Still the most beautiful world in english language, while not having english as my first language) the magic these guys have. I'm living in Finland I'm just waiting the days when I can see these guys. Clarkson, Hammond and May are my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of today: The superheroes you just can't wait to get aboard to at the end of the week. And as the turtles.... You can NEVER replace the original! Please never really stop.

Feeling a bit sad, sweat in my eye........ But somtimes it gets good again...

Well, I cried. Twice. First time when was Mondeo memorial because I had one. And again at the end. A grown up man. Just cried.

Clarkson, Hammond and May. THANK YOU, for the best memories. I have never cried so hard, my wife looked over at me and knew at that moment that this trio meant so much to me. I looked forward to your show.... now what? I had a bucket list to fly from the USA to The Grand Tour set to see the greatest presenters ever. You guys will be missed, and For the future car shows out there, Good luck. It will never be the same.

Thank you, James, Jeremy and Richard for the ride of a life time!

This episode is about the end of the Ford Mondeo. Or not, not really.

It's about the things we grow up with and become emotionally attached to, about the way they influence us and - in a way - define us. It's also about the memory of what these things were and a melancholic reminder of how important it is to look back to remind ourselves where we came from. To remember or roots.

In a bit more specific terms, this episode is about the end of an era. People have mostly moved onto different types of cars from what used to be popular and exciting decades ago. The old family cars that many generations grew up with are no more. Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond are also moving on from the classic studio Top Gear/Grand Tour format that has been so dear to so many for so long and their heartfelt goodbye is both genuine and heart braking.

Thanks for what you gave us and I hope that you'll continue to make travel specials just as amazing as you have in the past, offending new people everywhere you go!
