The first episode where I did not laugh at one thing, every time Bruce Baum appeared as the dumb security guard Alf, I cringed a little more and then a lot more yet kept my finger off the fast-forward button. I can't believe that any of the laughter that you hear when he appears is genuine because he is one of the single most obnoxious characters I have ever seen on a sitcom, not only the most ridiculously stupid. I blame the writing for that, something that the show had plenty good moments of, but the last half of the series was ruined by his presence. Another obnoxious new arrival is the TV show numbers guy, insisting that threats against Brad and Susan will bring up the ratings.
So the general plotline of threats against the show for exposing a parking lot fraud scandal is decent, the execution of the episode is not, mainly thanks to the writing and the extended presence of Alf who appears in nearly 100% of the scenes. A subplot involving Susans exposure of various defective yoyo brands is also present which is dealt with in the final scene but the general plot is left open and unresolved. The one true disappointing episode of the series left me cold with only one or two laughs.
