I must confess I don't know very much about Indian animation (Or Indian cinema in general, for that matter; the only Bollywood film I have ever seen in my life was Ra. One)
But this was a nice short film. Sweet. Tender. A bit melancholic, but also gentle.
The colorful day-dream sequences were quite well-done, capture a marvellous sense of awe, innocence and wonder, creating an interesting contrast between the mundane reality depicted in black and white.
The ending scene managed to be both sad and heartwarming.
A very solid debut for Gitanjali Rao which I highly recommend.
Hope to have the chance of seeing her film Bombay Rose anytime soon.
