The beauty of daydreaming
Rectangular_businessman4 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I must confess I don't know very much about Indian animation (Or Indian cinema in general, for that matter; the only Bollywood film I have ever seen in my life was Ra. One) But this was a nice short film. Sweet. Tender. A bit melancholic, but also gentle.

The colorful day-dream sequences were quite well-done, capture a marvellous sense of awe, innocence and wonder, creating an interesting contrast between the mundane reality depicted in black and white.

The ending scene managed to be both sad and heartwarming.

A very solid debut for Gitanjali Rao which I highly recommend.

Hope to have the chance of seeing her film Bombay Rose anytime soon.

An old lady. her cat. her neighbours. rain. and a refuge. a visitor. and the rainbow. one of films about yourself. in delicate manner. using great animation. and well known facts. at first sigh, a film about solitude. or about the meaning of life. in fact, a film about passion. about dreams and meaning of hobbies and routine. or, just, about happiness. a small gem. real usefull. for discover the life from the right angle.
