Desmond realizes he needs help with the cross in the coffin and leaves.
Gerard talks to Flora about Desmond not wanting him there, she says she can handle him. Trask enters looking for Leticia. Leticia is not there and Trask starts asking Gerard and Flora about Barnabas.
Desmond goes to the tavern and finds hulking drunk Tim there, he offers him money to help him.
At Rose Cottage, Trask talks of his father and his mysterious disappearance. Gerard suggests a séance. Desmond brings Tim to the underground vault, Desmond leaves him there and Tim finds the jeweled mask.
At the séance, the Rev, Trask is contacted he warns of an evil that will walk again.
At the vault, Tim steals the mask and suddenly a headless body comes out the coffin and goes after him. The body than rises out of the ground.
