Not much happens in this episode, this 1897 storyline hasn't quite hooked me yet.
Edward is surprised by some joke "snakes" popping out of his tobacco box. This was courtesy of prankster Carl. He laughs hysterically while Edward threatens to put him in a sanitarium. Carl says that someone in the house knows the family secret, going by what he was told by gypsy Magda.
Edward tries to find out if Judith, Quentin or Carl know it. Quentin reminds him that Barnabas was also visiting Edith. Edward orders Carl to get Barnabas from the old house.
Sandor makes an appearance telling everyone Barnabas is gone for the day.
Quentin talks to Rachel of a legend of a suicide in the tower (Naomi back in 1796) and no one goes to that room anymore. Rachel later sees a light in the tower. Both Edward and Judith know of something up there but keep it from Rachel. I hope something interesting comes of this.
