Gaslighting
Leofwine_draca5 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 448 sees Barnabas off-screen and taking a well-deserved rest, while the current show's surprise villain - no less than Lieutenant Nathan Forbes - continues his scheming, womanising ways. Gaslighting is the order of the day here, so it offers something a little different to the usual.

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have all the right ingredients for a hilarious episode and they don't disappoint! The main part takes place after the wedding, and unknown to Millicent, Nathan has found out that (the extremely annoying) Millicent has signed her fortune away to her little brother! Nathan has just quit the navy, and is looking forward to a life of unearned comfort and easy living at Millicent and the Collins family's expense,as Millicent's husband (He sure isn't with her for her cringeworthy personality!) Well,Nathan is disgusted after the little brother lets out the truth about the money but Nathan does his best to hide his true feelings. For whatever reason,Nathan decides that the best remedy would be to mess with Millicent until she thinks she is crazy! I have no idea how this part will work-out,but it should make for some very funny future episodes! Nancy Barrett is great as Millicent Collins, she plays a great part, different than her Carolyn Stoddart part. I thought the Carolyn character was selfish and annoying, but I really was not ready for this ridiculous Millicent airhead! Nancy Barett is indeed a good actress I say. All in all a great episode that lays the groundwork for more drama in the near future.
