Great in depth analysis of a true American art form

Jukeboxes represent America; it becomes evident as you watch these beautiful machines produce the soundtracks of every era. This film captures the love we all have for these pieces of vanishing Americana.Between interviews with jukebox fanatics and average folks, each aspect of the jukebox is analyzed, including its heart. An excellent and insightful piece, I just wish there was more of it. I personally love jukeboxes, and this film brought back some excellent memories. It also has quite an eclectic soundtrack. Will the iPod kill the jukebox? Probably not. I can't imagine that any generation could possibly lose admiration for that which means so much to our soul as a country. A celebration of life, liberty and the pursuit of great music!

Super documentary, bringing back shared experiences of music and the way we hear it. I remember having an old jukebox in my house when I was a kid (wurlitzer), and just being so amazed at how it could play all those songs, and be so bright (it also had bubbles in it which blew my mind). This Doc reminds me of all those times in my youth, and also educates about all the interesting history of the jukebox, from it's humble beginnings, all the way to it's meteoric rise to every young person's hangout in the U.S., and back to it's descent, as America became an IPOD nation. No piece of information is missed by this well researched, enlightening, and richly shot Doc. Oh, and by the way, did I mention the music is wonderful too? All in all, a great effort put forth by all involved.
