Plenty of incident
Leofwine_draca8 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 318 is one of the ones that only exists in a reduced quality black and white print today. There's plenty more tomb exploration as well as a psychological study of Barnabas, who appears to be experiencing something of a breakdown. Solid stuff then, with plenty of incident for the viewers.

Only Sarah can stop Barnabas from committing murder.

Warning: Spoilers
No matter how many times Barnabas threatens Julia, her words always come to haunt him because they are strikingly the truth, something that Barnabas cannot deny. In this case, it's the appearance of the ghost of Sarah in the crucial finale as Barnabas is about to commit a gruesome to save his hide. Dr. Woodard questions David and gives Julia an ultimatum. Tell him what she knows about Maggie's abductor or she will be removed from Julia's care. If Dave only knew what Julia was up to as far as conspiring with Barnabas. Meanwhile, Barnabas is torn over what he should do in regards to David, not wanting to harm him but unable to risk being exposed.

This is a very tense episode, another black and white one as the color print seems to be missing, and that aids in the dark and stormy night in which the episode takes place. You get to see Julie has fear as she hears the dog howling, realizing that Barnabas is about to go into vampire mode and kill David and rushes over to stop him. It's a very tense finale and Grayson Hall and Jonathan Frid are excellent. It's very apparent too that doctor Woodard's days are numbered, as he's becoming far too curious about things that he shouldn't be pushing to find out. A good episode that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
