. . . and 27.11 seconds, approximately. "We had 10 Kenworths (semi-trucks) worth at least $100,000 each, and we lost 7 of them," notes KILL director John Glen (not to be confused with the oldest man in space, who spells his surname with two "n's," or with Sir Roger Moore, who's the REAL oldest man in space, if the events of MOONRAKER are believed). "One truck ran away; crashed over a precipice in the middle of the night," Glen adds. Now, if these were MY Kenworths, I'd take more care not to lose them. If you know anything about the original producer of the Bond movie series, Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli, you'd realize that when Mr. Glen called in to say a sixth semi had gone AWOL overnight, Cubby's rejoinder would be something like "Order another half dozen, John, and put it on my tab." Yeah, and the Tooth Fairy is real, too. Interestingly enough, I read in one of USA Today's state-by-state blurbs this week that a western interstate was closed for a few hours when a semi spilled a quarter ton of broccoli all over the road. If something like that had happened in Mexico back in 1989, John Glen probably would have blamed it on poltergeists or Kenworth's possessed by the spirits of nuns killed before their time.
