Inez is supposed to be a female
llxoxll_wckd_vclz_llxoxl7 December 2006
I haven't seen this, but Inez is a female character and she is a lesbian, so why would Daniel T. 'Sweetie' Boothe be the actor?!? Why would it be an actor at all? That could ruin the entire story quickly. No, I refrain, that WILL ruin the story quickly. A lot of the main parts of this play need Inez to be a woman and even the lines state it. How completely absurd. I hope that this is just a mix up and that a girl will be playing the part because there is no way the play could be as good with a male actor as the role of a Inez since she strings a lot of the story together. Hopefully someone will fix this before it is made, if it's not yet.

Loosely based on Sartre's NO EXIT, it revolves around three lost souls who are the desperate dregs left over from a crystal meth party organized on the internet.

Superb direction by Etienne Kallos, an excellent acting ensemble with John Kudan as Garcin, Daniel Booth as Inez, Brad Coolidge as Eric. This film has a dark theme relating to the devastation crystal meth is doing to the gay, bisexual and trans-gendered community. One character(Garcin played by Kudan)is an older pathetic married bisexual who falls for the pre-op Transsexual (Inez played by Booth), while the pre-op transsexual desires the young gay "past his prime" party boy, however the said party boy is into the older bisexual. Their "Hell" (as Satre's play was set in his version of Hell)is unrequited love and desire in a sleazy welfare hotel in Jersey City, NJ. It is an extremely disturbing film, while at the same time providing the occasional "dark" laugh----It is a short film (a little over fourteen minutes) that leaves one wanting more.
