Second episode in a row where one of the Squad has a friend on parole who's in big trouble. This time it's Pete's buddy (played by Bobby Sherman) who was railroaded into taking a prison rap for his girlfriend (Judy Strangis) and is at risk of being sent back if he doesn't stay away from his squeeze.
This one suffers from some lousy acting - Strangis is BAAAAD and Sherman has little charisma. It was a little before my time but how did he ever become a major teen heartthrob??. They seem to be acting in a different show from Frank Marth and Norman Alden, who play Judy's controlling, powerful father, and his henchman, respectively.
At least the story unfolds slowly with some plot points we aren't expecting, but it raises more questions than it answers and there is a time jump at the beginning that is kind of confusing. This could have been better by recasting the star-crossed lovers and tightening the script.
