Excellent piece of work

The director, Leor Ram, is a master at crafting the short story for the big screen. He captures a touching and dramatic story in October's Chosen that belongs in the canon of great Holocaust films. It is the story of a young man who must choose between his own life or the life of his mother. This very personal story is one of many incredible holocaust accounts that strikes you at your core and makes you question the decency of humanity. The acting is so raw, so natural that I found myself in the world in which Mr. Ram constructs and no longer watching a motion picture. It is amazing to think that the director made this film in college, though it is encouraging to see real art coming from the film schools of America. I cannot wait to see much more from this young, talented director!
