Jill gets her claws into Glen.
This is a shockingly dark conclusion to the first series with some memorable character moments.
Jill's obscene and sociopathic behaviour peaks with her treatment of numerous characters in this episode. The situational humour and dialogue is as funny as ever, but the plot takes an exceptionally dark turn, even for Jill.
As soon as the Angel Delight sequence begins you can see exactly where it is going. It's funny because Jill's outrageous narcissism has no boundaries and Glen is so pathetically gullible and desperate.
As always, Julia Davis is on great form with both writing and performance. Mark Gatiss is also excellent.
