Jim Newton has got a new white mare. Fury has fallen in love with the mare. He spends his time with her.
This upsets Joey. Now Fury does not want to be with him anymore. All the other ranchers are also fussing over the new mare.
One evening Joey lets the mare escapes and this angers Jim. He purchased the mare as a present for Miss Watkins.
Lucky for Joey that Miss Watkins is understanding. She is explains to Jim that the pressures Joey has been under. That he found a new home and people he could trust. The white mare disrupted all this.
Meanwhile Joey goes looking for the mare.
