Decent 2 part episode

Not the greatest episode but definately engaging. It was also a return to Erin being really immature having burnt the note that curt leaves.

People have beef with the actors not being age appropriate my beef is with she pretty much hates Curt till they kiss and then immediately marries him. At least with David they were dating for awhile, I feel the Curt-Mary Ellen relationship would have been more believable if they didn't get married immediately.

I mean if you take issue with age appropriate look at Richard & Michael, they are only about 10 years apart. That is a far less believable Mother & Son relationship.

Curt and Maryellen

Warning: Spoilers
It is so childish that people think that Curt wasn't age appropriate for Maryellen what is really age-appropriate anyway you see all the time nowadays people married people that are 20-years younger 20 years older some the same age. As far as how old he was he was only a year older than Michael who plays Olivia. As far as David he had all intentions of making her stay home and become a society Country Club wife I can't imagine that anybody would want her to be in that position.

Father Figure

Warning: Spoilers
Mary Ellen falls into a trap with a pervert almost as old as her own father! I won't say on here how I would have responded as her dad ...

I've never truly liked her anyhow ...

Tom Bower is not age appropriate to play Mary Ellen's love interest
Greta_Garbone9 July 2021
Tom Bower is a year older than Michael Learned (Olivia Walton, Mary Ellen Walton's mother) and 20 years older than Judy Norton. David Spenser would have been a better choice.
