So, let me get this straight: Hoby is held at gunpoint and threatened. But thankfully, he's able to get out of that. But when he's transporting the prisoner back to Texas, he's bitten by a snake, then while on the recovery he is left - his horse is taken down a ways to make his trailing harder. Then he travels while still sick from rattlesnake venom. Hoby's horse goes lame and he eventually passes out from sickness...
And all this time, he's holding onto his saddle. I've seen other TV Western heroes do that - saddles sure must have been expensive to lug them across the dessert like that!!!
Then when Hoby wakes up in the hospital, a fellow ranger informs him he's under arrest and he must now prove that he's innocent of such charges!!!
Boy oh boy, but I sure bet Hoby was wishing somebody else had been assigned that case!
