Jack proposes and Furley gets two black eyes
CCsito18 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I consider this episode to be one of the funniest of the series after the contract dispute with Suzanne Somers ("Chrissy") was ongoing and Jenilee Harrison was brought in to replace her, playing her cousin Cindy. Jenilee was a former L.A. Rams cheerleader with a great figure and played the bumbling roommate to Jack and Janet. The episode involved a rumored pregnancy that Jack and Janet believes to involve Cindy. After Cindy's breakup with her boyfriend, Jack takes it upon himself to propose to Cindy so that the unborn child will have a father. Of course after he realizes his mistake, he has to take back the marriage proposal even though Cindy accepts the proposal. The episode features the landlord, Mr. Furley, getting two black eyes from being hit by two of the roommates by accident. The gay insinuation is also played to a funny scene that involves Jack's friend, Larry, who helps Jack to practice on the marriage proposal and Mr. Furley coming into the kitchen to witness it. This episode also marked the last appearance of Suzanne Somers on the show where she appears by herself talking on the phone with her roommates (they explained her absence from the apartment by indicating that she is staying with her parents) during the final minutes of each episode after the contract dispute began. The producers only shot her brief appearances to close out her contract after she and her husband manager demanded higher pay. The show continued for three additional seasons after her departure.
