Episode 25 closes the first season
kevinolzak23 April 2010
Episode 25 begins with the Campbells meeting Elaine's father, who schedules his daughter's wedding to Danny, warning him not to run away if he wants his family to live(Tim Rossovich again appears unbilled as the bodyguard).Father Tim informs Corinne that he's leaving the priesthood because he didn't have the calling, and insists that the two have to be married before they make love.Carol convinces Jodie that they should live together,as friends, just before Dennis Phillips walks back into Jodie's life, his wife having left him(and he wants Jodie back).Still waiting on the jury's verdict,Jessica's lighthearted facade finally breaks down; Chester promises that nothing will ever happen to her.E.Ronald Mallu confesses he's fallen in love with Jessica, who conceals their embrace from Chester by pretending it's a dance lesson.Chief of Police Tinkler requests they return to the courtroom: "Miss Knight,if you and the Pips are ready!"(Howard Hesseman makes his last appearance on the show). The verdict is in,and Jessica is pronounced guilty,as the first season comes to an end.

A great end to series one.

Jessica has her big day in court, it's the verdict, and she has to contemplate the possibility of going to prison. Both Jodie and Corrine have to make decisions which could change their lives forever.

It's been a great first series on the whole, and it ends on a real high note, this was excellent. There are a few funny moments, but this was one of the more sentimental and moving episodes, it really does have a few touching moments.

Lots of great scenes, and they all featured Jessica, terrific acting, her scenes with both Chester and Mary were awesome.

Wow, that ending was mind-blowing, talk about a cliffhanger, I only hope that I can get hold of the second series asap, I can't contemplate the thought of not seeing more, I need to know Whodunnit, has to be Chester.

One minor thing, just watch Bob, even when he's not in the main body of things, and not even in focus, he is still moving about and blinking, it's quite incredible.

Can't wait to see more.

9/10.
