Prohibition
NickBOKC6 March 2022
The group lands on a world reminiscent of the 1920s prohibition era. Some of the cars are from that time period and some are modern. There is a prohibition on many things but the one thing the people crave is caffeine, which is being secretly distributed in sugar packets. I prefer decaf, but to each his own. Rembrandt's evil doppelgänger works for the police but that isn't his only job. The group get jobs at the speakeasy and are caught up in the gangster drama. I thought that this was a decent, average episode. It kept my attention but certainly not anything to remember. I will say that Quinn's 1920s hairstyle was pretty hot, and he dressed up nicely as a coffee bartender. The lesson? Prohibition creates crime. It's much better to legalize and regulate.

Hidden gem, a reminder of how great Sliders can be
wolfstar_imdb6 August 2022
Loved this, it felt like a classic season 1 episode. A really enjoyable, smartly written noir episode with heart, substance and style, set mostly in and around a jazz club. A great Rembrandt showcase with enjoyable guest characters who are well-cast and well-conceived - such a breath fresh air. The mood and tone are just right.
