No House in the Hamptons
Hitchcoc16 June 2023
George can't simply come clean, no matter what. He is primarily responsible for his fiancee's death with the cheap announcement cards. He feels the need to keep harassing the parents (who are quite a pair). He lies about his successes and ends up driving them to the Hamptons where he doesn't really have a house. They are willing to let him suffer. Kramer decides to retire when his coffee table book (which looks like a coffee table) is going to be made into a movie. He moves in next door to Jerry's parents in Florida, and gets involved with the politics of the retirement home (where people keep dying). Jerry buys his dad a "Wizard," a personal organizer like a Blackberry, but the old man just uses it to figure out tips. Kramer commits a faux pas and blows the election. I thought there were some great bits in this one.

Weird. Seeing many of these actors actually gone when they make death jokes.

What occurrences occurred in this episode of Seinfeld?

Kramer Retires and moves to Florida and runs for president.

Jerry buys his pops an organizer

Elaine dates someone who she is unsure of.

George tries to trick the Ross's.

The story and the production overview: A good episode. Kramer's parts were kind of meh. Its always good seeing Morty and Helen.

Highlight: Darryl It was interesting trying to figure what race he was.

Laugh meter: 4

Villain: The condo seniors.

Overall: A fair episode.

What can be learned?: Tips man. You gotta calculate the tips.

Verdict: Every race shops at the Gap. They have nice pants there.

A Great George Episode
Samuel-Shovel5 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In "The Wizard" Kramer's coffee table book is optioned for a movie. With his newfound money, he decides to move down to Florida and retire. Marty Seinfeld, unable to run for the condo board, has Kramer run as his puppet. Elaine dates a man whose race she is unsure of. George makes excuses to get out of doing things with Susan's parents. He convinces them he has a place in the Hamptons and then drives them up there. Jerry buys his dad a Wizard for his birthday but Marty only uses it as a tip calculator.

We'll call this episode par for the course. There's nothing absolutely classic here but everything in it is fairly solid. My favorite is definitely George and the Ross's continually upping the stakes on who will blink first. George is so petty he can't resist. And the Ross's hate George so much they're willing to go along with it. Pretty funny stuff.

Elaine and the race
safenoe15 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Elaine Benes is obsessed, well determined at the very least to find out the "race" of her boyfriend Darryl (played by Samuel Bliss Cooper), when Jerry Seinfeld comments that Darryl is black, although it's not clear if Jerry has any basis for this. In a way, genealogical testing shows that maybe some do have this in their blood from past generations, so init right. Anyway, it turns out Darryl thought Elaine was Hispanic because of her surname Benes and the fact she loves eating at Spanish restaurants. If in an alternate reality Elaine was black, then maybe she would wonder if her boyfriend was Irish, German, Italian, Welsh, English or Scottish init.
