Stand aside Zack & Slater, Substitute Teacher Mr. Crane is taking over
callanvass6 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
When Miss Simpson throws her back out, a substitute teacher Mr. Crane takes over, making the girls have a huge crush on him. This makes Zack and Slater extremely jealous because the girls will no longer pay any attention to them. Zack and Slater put their rivalry aside and hire an actress to try to get rid of Mr. Crane. This is an above average episode with the humor that I love from SBTB. It is far from being one of my favorites, but I still enjoy it when I watch it. I'm sure there a few guys out there with a girlfriend in school that have had to deal with their woman fawning over a hot substitute. I thought this was dealt with realistically. I could have done without the corny fantasy scene with Lisa, Kelly, and Jesse though. I never did care for those fantasy scenes. I got quite a few laughs out of Zack's corny, yet admittedly creative Shaksperian delivery. I also laughed how they would focus on Mr. Crane's smile for an annoying effect. It was a clever touch. Overall, SBTB fans should get more than enough to enjoy this one. It's entertaining and everybody has something to do in it

Mr. Crane is in the building and he is subbing for Miss Simpson after she throws her back out. The girls go bonkers for Mr. Crane which does not sit well with Zach and Slater.

At the beginning of the episode Zach had Kelly eating out the palm of his hand, really made you think things were turning in that direction, but then came Mr. Crane. But just like every episode to date, zach has a plan to get their attention back. Hiring an actress to act like Mr. Crane's fiancé. In the end the girls back off because of his snobby fiancé.

Overall not sure why Mr. Crane acts like he is doing the boys a favor by not going for 14 year old students, kinda odd. Very simple plot line and felt like it was over before it began. Still a good episode.
