Our modern "Rebel without a cause" gets himself in more trouble.
aura7729 March 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Changes are happening within the couplehoods of the O.C.ers. Lines seem to be blurred. Oliver reveals himself as he falls apart, but not before Ryan is completely left in the cold. Someone loses school, one loses work, two lose their partners, and one more loses it all.

In this episode Marissa continues on being really stupid and breaks up with Ryan, while Anna breaks up with Seth for obvious reasons. There is no chemistry between Anna and Seth, she is really like a female version of him. Seth gets so excited to spend time with Summer, he doesn't even bother to notice Anna is there also.

The good part is that Oliver is out of the picture... It's hilarious how such a cute guy with such a cool life can be so mentally sick.

too many problems for Ryan

Warning: Spoilers
How can they come up with so many situations in which Ryan is angry, protective, stymied, and ultimately in trouble? It's too many for one season for one character for goodness sake. I'm late to the show and am binge watching, but even on a weekly basis, viewing the constant negative moments for one character is too much -- or was likely too much -- for many viewers.

I like the Cohens the best -- well-written and "deep" marriage as Hailey put it, which is refreshing to see and hear. Seth et al -- yuk.

The Truth (#1.18)

Warning: Spoilers
Ryan tries to protect Marissa from Oliver but nobody believes him, except Luke who also finds out that there is no ex Natalie. When Marissa finds it out too Oliver goes crazy and has a gun but Sandy and Ryan come to help. Caleb makes Kirsten break up with Julie. And Anna breaks up with Seth because he is too into Summer.

Well they did it very exciting with Oliver at the end, but somehow I still can't be on Ryan's side for what he did. He was a possessive creep. As Melissa I would stay away from both. And the whole thing with the receptionist being Natalie was absurd, it is not the most uncommon name that one would go from there to think that her name is Bishop.

Sad about Anna and Seth. Seth and Summer together is just sickening. Why would he not want to be with somebody who likes the same things as him but with somebody whose IQ got to be below 50.

One moment was pretty interesting in this episode, the one between Luke and Julie. Is there something coming afterwards? That would be awesome!
