A trip to the Midwest for Jim and Murphy to welcome some new network affiliates turned into a disaster when they are stuck there because of a snowstorm. They discover that the local affiliates are desperate to get out and want a prestigious job at a local D. C. station. Every one of them has some gripe about their current situation, and their hunger for something bigger is overwhelming. They are obviously little fish who want to grow into bigger fish to be in bigger ponds, and the Midwest is not going to satisfy their appetite. Later on, Jim meets a beautiful sophisticated woman ("All My Children's" Jennifer Basset) who lighty flirts with him, and Murphy is concerned that the married Jim may have gone too far. Once again, Murphy and a colleague bond while away, and while Murphy and Frank are the best of friends, it's obvious that the special relationship between Murphy and Jim is more sister and brotherly. Great performances and writing and funny situations, and that makes this a great episode.
