Well it did have a surprise ending

Warning: Spoilers
I'll be the first to say I didn't know where this story was going. Although it had some typical action. And they're spoilers here. For example the bad guy Tully had a change of heart naturally and they shot each other at the same time.

That also happened in the episode with Robert Conrad. So in that way it was a bit contrived or predicted. Now the second half really picked up.

But in the first half they had some nice car action and car thieves and a shootout like a typical episode. Anyway we get along and then we sure we have the good guy and the bad guy cornered but it gets found out but I won't tell you how. That would be giving too much away. And I'll conclude with this I sure hate doing these 600 character limit but hey that's the requirements now. I thought it was one of mission impossible's best. Thank you, John.

Lack of effort

Awful performance from Christopher George "acting" like a psychopath, sinks this already mediocre episode. Tyne Daly cast as the psycho's moll doesn't help matters. You have to wonder if they even think about the characters when they cast some of these actors. The writing is lazy and the plot at times just pointless. Other than Phelps and Casey, The regular team members have nothing to do and it shows in their performance. Rapher Johnson looks to be the most committed and earnest and he was certainly no actor. Lack of imagination, creativity and inspiration in plot, direction and acting plagued many of the episodes after season four, and this one is no exception.
