****SPOILERS***Old fashion private detective Mike Hammer, Stacy Keach, resorts to modern technology to solve a number of murders in the New York fashion industry that lead to his good friend Randy Bailer's, Randy Murzynski, death. It was Randy who in helping Hammer solve a case of blackmail of fashion designer Oliver Alden, Edward Albert, who himself ended up dead in a car bomb of the taxi he was riding. It's Randy's good friend electronic expert Scott Warren, Micky Dolenz, who joined forces with Hammer to track down both Randy's killers as well as Alden's blackmailer.

At first having no use for Warren Hammer soon realized his methods as well as electronic expertise was the only way to catch Randy's killer. It was rival as well as mobbed up fashion designer Jake Calbar,Robert Viharo, who's suspected by Hammer to be man behind all these crimes in the fashion industry as well as trying to run his main rival Oliver Alden out of business. That soon stopped when model Candace,Dawn Mangrum, was murdered while doing a runway show at a local yuppie nightclub, that only served water for drinks, that Hammer now suspected that Calbar whom she worked for was being set up to take the rap.

*****SPOILERS***** It was when the pay off money of some one million dollars that was to be exchanged at the airport that Hammer realized all this blackmail & murder was in fact an inside job with Calbar being out of the loop. After a chase and shootout at the airport with Calbar's men Hammer realized, after the smoke cleared, that they were not working for Calbar at all but for someone else! As Hammer found out it was a person very close to Calbar who felt he or she was being cheated by him out of what was coming to him. And thus on his own and behind Calbar's back planned to take over his entire operation and fashion business before he knew what hit him!
