Not to say it's is a bad episode or anything cause it's definitely not, just compared to the first appearance of one of the most awesome and cool villains in the series in an episode that I loved to death because I found it such a hugely fun, over-the-top and all-round tour-de-force of a story, this just lacks a tiny bit somewhere. I don't find Cyberskull nearly as impressive as when he was a virtually invincible, walking tyrannical computer virus that could warp and transform reality at will, which was a concept that I thought they really managed to animate in such an awesome visual way. It's not exactly "The Next Level", in fact he's considerably downgraded and reduced, the way he now has to possess human beings and inhabit diminutive and gigantic robotic versions of himself, and I just plain don't think he's as much fun this time around. I don't like the way he sort of twice re-uses his epic "Digital God!" line, and I really do hate the stupid goofy character design of the mind-controlled head of the gaming corporation, he looks like a moron's badly-drawn negative extreme stereotype of what a nerd should be! I noticed that in the scene where "J.C." is first possessed his eyes look like Tetris for a moment! I love the scenes with the deceptively harmless-looking but super-strong Cyberskull figurine, it's really funny when Norman says after just being sent flying by the pretty scary little menace - "He's small but wiry!" I also find it hilarious in the scene where Norman punches an electrified computer door and gets a shock and then the computer politely informs him that his grunts of pain are not the correct access codes! It's not a brilliant episode but it is topped-off by one corker of a creepy epilogue with Cyberskull preserving what's left of his mind inside the doll-sized robot that springs to life in the trash can and menacingly says: "I'm Cyberskull, it's time to play", in what is obviously a nicely-done little homage to Chucky from Child's Play! Anyway it's not perfect, but this is yet another good example of an excellent series that will always be fun and classic to me.
