Tate Donovan, who later dated Sandra Bullock (1990-1994) and Jennifer Aniston (1995-1998) guest stars as R. J., the young and handsome punk black sheep nephew of Robin Masters. Anyway, Higgins is given orders by Robin Masters to set R. J. straight, and R. J. impersonates Magnum and engages in much subterfuge and all, which makes for a decent Magnum, P. I. episode.
It's interesting watching Magnum evolve through the seasons. I think the sixth season kind of represents the mid-life crisis segment, culminating in a cross-over with Murder, She Wrote (!) in season seven.
Anyway, Summer School is worth watching.
