It's a steal!

Warning: Spoilers
In part 1, Hawkeye and BJ receive a prized Polaroid camera which can develop a photo in one minute. The upshot is that Klinger is caught up in an imbroglio after the Polaroid is stolen, and we're kept in suspense for part 2. Thankfully Klinger is let off the hook as one of TV's most famous tropes play out, with Hawkeye and BJ bursting into the court martial proceedings to save Klinger from the stockade.

It just happens this episode was broadcast during the famous era of Polaroid commercials featuring James Garner and Mariette Hartley. I'm surprised no ad agency capitalized on this M*A*S*H episode by featuring Jamie Farr promoting the Polaroid with the line "It's a steal!"

Witless for the Defense
Hitchcoc27 April 2015
Klinger goes to trial. Since lawyer don't defend these cases, Winchester, full of wind and arrogance, offers his services. Klinger picks him because he sounds good. Of course, the trial goes terribly (they are lucky he wasn't hanged). He overestimates his abilities and knowledge of military law. The problem is that Klinger, as a scrounger, has had some shady dealing along the way (he even supplied Mulcahy with some Gideon Bibles from a hotel). This, coupled with Winchester's total incompetence, forces another tactic. The court martial has been used at other times in this show, but the scene where Winchester begs for them to find for him to avoid embarrassing his family is priceless. Quit a solid outing.
