Lucy and Viv become obsessed Little League moms and eventually their heckling of the umpire gets them banned from the park. Lucy tries to regain entry using various disguises, and in the end she does get to witness Jerry hit a home run.
These sports-oriented episodes are not my favorites because they are never funny enough. At least this one's better than Season 2's "Lucy and Viv Play Softball". William Schallert, who appears here as the team manager, reprises his role in that one.
The written by/directed by credits play "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" instead of the regular LUCY SHOW music. Desi Jr appears as Billy Simmons, playing Mary Jane Croft's son. It seems like the living room scene where Lucy and Viv end up playing baseball with the orange did not get as big of a reaction as they expected.
When Lucy exits the park in the men's suit, Vivian is very conspicuous in the bleachers wearing the fisherman's drag.
Just an OK episode, nothing great here.
