'Look, there's an emu!' We're back in Australia (ish.) Apparently we left the laugh track back in port. Well, you know the drill. Expect lots of kangaroo footage. I like the return of the expository map that shows us where the ship is going. How will poor Julie cope? Mr. Farnsworth (Lloyd Bridges) is bringing in all kinds of guests. Mr. Farnswoth is a bit of a horse pill. It looks like he picked the wrong day to give up cruise ships. Linda Evans is keen on marrying him. (They could have some extra-leathery children.) Jessica Walter is his niece, hoping to get a piece of the Farnsworth fortune. It turns out that Farnsworth is revising his will. Jim Neighbors is Farnsworth's new (absent-minded) valet. Neighbors isn't as annoying as Carol Channing, but it's super close. Grant Goodeve and Morgan Fairchild are also scheming to get some of the money. They're divorced, but Farnsworth can't find out. Captain Stubing meets the daughter of an old friend, her spitting image. She's a teacher. Gopher remembers that his mother was a Farnsworth, so he moves in, hoping to make a connection. See you for part 2.
