Storekeeper Whittaker has taken over Reedville and turned it into a sanctuary for outlaws who can pay him one bag of gold dust every week. With his henchman Notch, he keeps Sheriff Lowell in line by threatening to kill Lowell's son Rod. Tonto enters the store to buy supplies and Notch recognizes him. But Notch thinks he remembers Tonto as a member of the Larkey outlaw gang. That faulty memory of Notch is just the opening that's needed. With The Ranger disguised as a one-eyed road agent on the run, our heroes gain the confidence of Whittaker. Now The Ranger must get Sheriff Lowell and Rod's help to capture all the outlaws. And there are a lot of them! How can the four good guys possibly best all these ruffians?
