Larcenous soul
bkoganbing21 February 2017
One of the best Laramie stories is this one directed by veteran big screen western director Lesley Selander which has a cast of only four including Robert Fuller.

One thing Laramie always had going for it was all kinds of people would show up from Jess Harper's past he would have to deal with. In this case Jan Merlin whose brother Fuller killed while tracking him down after a gold shipment robbery. This was after the brother killed all the other gang members and Merlin buried the gold in an abandoned mission.

Then a jailhouse buddy of Merlin's Dennis Patrick shows up wanting to cut himself in. Finally an old desert rat played by Edgar Buchanan proves to be Fuller's salvation, but he's got a larcenous soul.

Obviously Fuller comes out on top, but Selander got some great performances out of this cast in this story of greed and survival.

This episode depicts robert fuller as a weak and ineffective gun slinger so i gave it low marks ... jan merlin and dennis patrick are depicted as running the hunt.... i almost fell out of my chair when i saw that the terrain was not desert at all ... unless its really arid you don't need water ... this episode was so stupid i gave up on it and the icing on the cake was edgar buchanan
