"What's New, Poodle Dog?" finds Major Healey eager to inform Tony about going on a double date with two gorgeous contestants in the Miss Atom Bomb contest. This news rouses the jealousy in Jeannie, who turns Roger into a yelping French poodle, immediately headed to the city dog pound. Once he learns what Jeannie has done, Tony heads off to find Roger, but neglected to ask what kind of pooch he's become, picking out a huge Great Dane while the Roger-poodle whines in response. Dr. Bellows naturally walks in on Major Nelson's conversation with the dog, first the Great Dane in Tony's house, then the actual Roger-poodle at NASA. With Jeannie reluctant to restore Major Healey to his human self, Tony decides he's got to tell Dr. Bellows the truth. We get to hear the good doctor's thoughts as he strides toward General Peterson's office, imagining how he would react to yet another wild goose chase; needless to say, the doctor thinks better of it and never even knocks on the door! TV's Charmin-squeezing Mr. Whipple, Dick Wilson (as Mr. Wimple), would be involved with a more dangerous mutt in the fifth season's "Djinn Djinn, the Pied Piper."

Roger Rover to the rescue

Yet another episode where Roger comes over to tell Tony that he has a night out for them with beautiful women. He hasn't figured out this would anger Jeannie??? She is more beautiful than any girl they ever go out with yet...... it makes no sense.
Jeannie listens to Roger and then turns him into a poodle, not a plant or a picture where he would just "hang around", plus she opens the door and lets him out????
Why not just blink him back to his house??
Tony hears the dog and gets it out of Jeannie that she turned him into a dog, he freaks and goes out looking for him. The neighbor, who we have never seen before, asks Tony what kind of dog and Tony does not know. This does not get Tony to maybe go ask Jeannie what type of dog she turned him into???
He brings a Great Dane home and of course Dr. Bellows just walks into his house, without knocking, and sees him talking to Roger Rover. Tony finds out he has the wrong dog!! Later in the episode he feels like he has to confess to Dr Bellows, why this is a continued story line does not really make sense but whatever.
Very weak story here.
