Eighth appearance of Jeannie's sister
kevinolzak31 October 2016
"Jeannie-Go-Round" marked the eighth appearance of Jeannie's brunette sister, this time posing as Jeannie to wreak havoc for Tony before Dr. Bellows and wife Amanda. Forced to attend a nightclub with the Bellows, Tony has to leave his disappointed genie at home, as planned by Jeannie II, who substitutes for the scheduled singer (Barbara Eden belts out the song "Power On"). The real Jeannie is unaware of her sister's deception, and must obey when her angry master orders her back into her bottle. This affords Jeannie II the opportunity to sashay around, driving Tony insane by appearing and disappearing at will. Even Roger thinks he's cracking up: "I'm not deserting you, I'm leaving!" Amanda Bellows continues to flirt with Tony in front of her husband, both Jeannies facing off for the chaotic climax. Veteran voice-over artist Dave Barry scores plenty of laughs as himself, the comedian in the night club.

A Jeannie Fan Favorite

The 2 minute segment of Jeannie II's rendition of "Power On" and the ensuing physical comedy from Larry Hagman is without doubt a top moment in IDOJ fandom. One of the better Jeannie sister episodes.

Power on

Warning: Spoilers
Wonderful episode. Barbara Eden, in addition to being a great actress and comedian, was an excellent singer, and her performance in this episode singing "Power On", a song composed by Dean Martin, is spectacular. I was so fascinated when I saw it for the first time that I searched a lot for a recording on vinyl, CD, whatever, but I never found it, that is, I believe it was a take made just for TV.

But the episode isn't just based on this song, some scenes are hilarious, such as Major Nelson stripping down to his underwear during the performance of the song due to the magic of Jeannie's ill-intentioned sister.

Great episode of a great TV show, pure fun.
