There's a surprisingly large amount going on here, with most of the characters getting their moment in the sun.Floss and Neville's comedy bits as Neville searches for an intruder and gets battered by Steven are actually pretty good and then followed up by Floss acting as Pippa's confidante and them worrying about the future.Tom and Frank have a nice moment together too as the former makes a cringeworthy attempt to explain the facts of life.

Roo has the sense not to throw her virginity away in an act of revenge but is soon back to investigating Ailsa and getting Celia to help her, with the first reference to the soon-to-be-infamous Auntie Morag.

Lynn continues to be surprisingly central after initially seeming a good but disposable character.Her little scene visiting Nico and subsequent crisis of faith are actually an interesting direction for her character.
