This episode seemed to lose interest as it progressed

There is a lot of things in this story that stretched the truth of good common sense which leads the show on a downward path. The story was not that bad it just seemed that there were too many things that, at times, unbelievable to comprehend.

The story starts out on the prairie right after a stage has been robbed by two bandits and the driver killed. Ed Gance, one of the robbers, then shoots his partner after getting suspicious about his intentions. Next enters two men, James Hark who claims to be a sheriff and his deputy Bill Turloe, but the two men true intentions is to take the stolen money and run off. If anyone gets in their way they will say they are taking Ed Gance back for trial and the reward money for his capture.

Next enters Matt and Chester that are just riding in the area. Matt is suspicious about Harks's intentions and advises that they will ride with them back to Dodge to collect the reward money. Now you have five men riding the plains on their way to Dodge.

Then for some unknown reason (I guess to reduce the characters) the deputy, Bill Turloe teams up with the partner killer, Gance, and they are going to shoot the rest. But Matt gets the jump on them as now the characters are reduced to three and Hark claiming to still want the reward money. But things might not go as he planned when he gets to Dodge.

At times we have to accept things for TV sake and in this episode there is many items that are TV made. Matt and Chester just riding up on the three out in the prairie, the deputy releasing the prisoner that just earlier shot the partner and later Matt makes his own rules up to avoid giving money to an unhappy person-- Not the most interesting episode in the bunch. Again the story was not bad, it was just too many things that made the episode hard to believe.
