Part 2 much better than its predecessor. The prosthetics work was well done and the tarantula felt real enough. The gecko was goofy and looked too superimposed.

Warning: Spoilers
I saw both parts of the movie, so I'm just going to comment in this second part. Maybe it wasn't okay. The story line wasn't that great, all the "seacreatures" and "fish men" didn't even look real. But I guess that's 1998 video-making for you.
Anyways, I'm a real fan of R.L. Stine's writing, I just didn't like the movie. It was kind of corny too, because the kids were scared of a giants ant(and ants are practically blind). Also, when Dr. Harold Deep(Paul Miller) was being pulled down a hole. A grown man being pulled down by a single "Fish Man"'s hand.
Yep, overall I didn't really like it. 3/10 at the most.
